“Horse riders: please wear helmets!”. Helmets are not obligatory only for bike readers or construction workers. Horse owners who rent their horses to children around Ganesha road, Bandung, near Bandung Institute of Technology, must also wear helmets for the sake of their and their clients’ safety. Still, the horse riders/renters ignore this instruction, as they do not hold any CHL anyway (Commercial Horsing License). Agus Bebeng | July 2009

The existence of the sticker with the text of “Pesan Terkirim” (or “Message Sent”) on the Kopaja 502 bus that goes along the Tugu Tani (Monument of the Peasant), Central Jakarta, signifies the entry of cellular phone terms into the world of slogans usually posted on public buses. Such a sticker is also found on Metro Mini 62 bus; presumably this one had been affixed on the bus even earlier than the one found on Kopaja 502. Ardi Yunanto | July 2009 |

At the old Kota precinct of Jakarta, many people come to have their pictures taken, with the “history” of the city as the background. Some local tourists even come especially for that purpose, posing in full and thick outfits in the broiling Jakarta afternoon, with a photographer and a video-recorder. Dian Bara | July 2009 |
