August 17, 2009. Celebrating the 64th anniversary of Indonesian Independence, the residents of Menteng Dalam, South Jakarta, held a range of competitions, one of them being the “wild chair” competition. The children go around the circle of chairs while dancing to the tune of a song. As soon as the song is stopped, each one of them has to sit on a chair, which is always one fewer than the children.
