Religious product placement. A standard advising signage to turn cellphones off (“Please turn off your cellphones in the name of prayers”) was seen in a mushola in ITC Roxy Mas, West Jakarta (31/07). The signage is unique for its natural tendency to be a part of product placement marketing strategy, done by a phone operator (“Apalagi bagi pengguna kartuHALO & simPATI yang sinyalnya ada di mana-mana”—Especially for kartuHALO & simPATI users, whose service are everywhere).
