The use of (phone) credit. A graffiti with social rhetoric tone (“Gunakan waktu luangmu unt jualan pulsa karna sangat dibutuhkan org banyak”—use your spare time to sell prepaid phone credit since our society needs it) was seen on Paten Gunung street, Magelang, Central Java (02/01). It conveys how phone credit has been a basic right of humanity. What if under certain emergency, all of our telecom operators were down? Isn't our dependency, together with the change the technology brings towards our perception of space and time, mesmerizing and alarming at the same time? Tiffany Ayu | January 2012
